Rory and Dean - Narcoleptics
Rory Gilmore had never been interested in any boy before until Dean came into her life. Dean was the boy who watched her, who was intrigued be her concentration and by her in general. Dean was Rory's first boyfriend and he was perfect, he was liked by Lorelai, Rory's mom, smart, sweet and always made sure that Rory was protected. He was in love with her and she loved him too.

Behind the Name: Rory and Dean are called Narcoleptics because Lorelai called him 'narcoleptic boy' when she was mad at him and because then both fell asleep in ep. Rory's Dance.

Rory and Tristan - Trory
From the first moment Tristan laid eyes on her he knew that there was something different about her, something special. For Tristan it started out as a game, he constantly bugged Rory and called her Mary, his way of showing his affection. Tristan was the opposite of Dean, though he was very smart and witty, Tristan was the bad boy. He was always getting into trouble and was a player, but deep down it was Rory that he always wanted. Even though Tristan was sent to military school by his father, he'll always love Rory, and Rory will always remember that boy who called her Mary.

Behind The Name: The name Trory is just a simple merge of both their names, Tristan and Rory.

Dean and Tristan - Dristan and The Stock Boy
While both boys absolutely adored Rory, they hated each other. For obvious reasons of course. Dean is Rory's boyfriend and he knew right from the start that Tristan had a thing for her so he did everything that he could to keep Tristan away from Rory. For Tristan, he always knew all the right buttons to push to get Dean all riled up. Calling him 'stock boy' and using his higher status as a shield, as well Tristan some what had the upper hand since he and Rory had a secret together, a kiss that they had shared. Even though they'll probably never see each other again, it was quite amusing all those fights and scenes that had together.

Behind The Name: I think only me and my sister call them that. In ep. Rory's Dance, Dean calls Tristan, "Dristan" and in ep. Run Away, Little Boy, Tristan called Dean, "Stock Boy". It just seem to fit them.
